Making this magazine article was an attempt at creating a grid to lay out type in a way that displays clear hierarchy. It was also an exercise in the treatment of logos from two companies who paid an equal amount for this ad to be placed in a magazine. Keeping the theme of the content in mind, which is the recovery of injured veterans in the mountains, I wanted to choose a color that was serious but not somber. The photo I chose to use is calming and suggests serenity without the use of a specific figure.
